PSG confirm Van der Wiel exit

Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that Gregory van der Wiel will leave the club after Saturday s Coupe de France final.

The Netherlands international was expected to call time on his four-year spell in the French capital at the end of the season, when his contract is due to expire.

And PSG announced on Tuesday that the 28-year-old will depart the club after their clash with Marseille at the Stade de France.

After four seasons with the club, Netherlands international defender Gregory van der Wiel will leave Paris Saint-Germain, the club said on their official website as part of a lengthy tribute to his performances for the club.

Van der Wiel, who joined from Ajax in 2012, has won four Ligue 1 titles, three Coupe de la Ligue trophies and the Coupe de Fran…

Bartomeu plays down chances of Neymar return to Barca

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu played down a possible return to the club for Neymar, saying he had not spoken to the Paris Saint-Germain star.

Neymar, 27, has been linked with a return to the LaLiga champions, the club he left for PSG in 2017.

But Bartomeu said he had not spoken to Neymar, or the Brazilian s father, as Barca prepare for next season.

I have never spoken to them, nor have the father or player called me to return to Barca. They have not called, he told El Partidazo de COPE.

We are preparing for next season and the name of Neymar is not on the table.

We are talking about a PSG player and I do not think that PSG want to get rid of a player like him.

Sidelined with a foot injury, Neymar has scored 20 goals in 23 ga…

Arsenal still keen on Sterling

Arsenal are ready to go back in for Raheem Sterling when the transfer window reopens in January, according to the Mirror.

The North London club were interested in securing the England international’s services in the summer though Manchester City were not willing to do business.

However, with the Premier League leaders expecting to reignite their interest in signing Alexis Sanchez a part exchange deal could still be on the cards.

Sterling has started the campaign in fine goal-scoring fashion netting in three of the four league games in which he has played some part.

In total he has made one hundred appearances in all competitions for the Citizens since signing from Liverpool in the summer of 2015, scoring twenty-four goals – one more than he mana…

Helldivers 2 Hotfix Fixes Crashes When Dropping Into Missions, Changing Settings

Arrowhead Game Studios has a new hotfix for Helldivers 2, which looks to resolve crashes occurring in specific situations. It also looks to prevent cases where players in the Hellpod loading screen would get stuck.

Some instances where crashes and glitches have been fixed include when dropping into a mission or right after changing your settings. The last update was supposed to fix the latter, but it “didn’t stick the landing.” As a result, the engineer responsible has been understandably assigned to a “Super Earth re-education camp.”

Arrowhead also confirms that the Superior Packing Methodology ship module upgrade was fixed on the server side as of July 1st, so that’s nice. Plenty of known issues exist, like deploying …

State of Play Presentation Coming Later This Month – Rumour

Sony recently unveiled the PS5 Pro (to widespread controversy, to say the least), but it looks like the company still has some things left to show- and in the very near future. Journalist Jeff Grubb claimed last month that a PlayStation State of Play presentation was planned for sometime in September, and he has now doubled down on that.

In a recent episode of Giant Bomb’s Game Mess Mornings podcast, Grubb reiterated that based on what he’s heard, a State of Play presentation is planned for later in September. To be a little more specific, Grubb claims the presentation will happen in “twelvish days”, which would point at the final week of the month.

What Sony will be showcasing at the event is up in the air, but it’s safe to assume …

We’ve been waiting for Path of Exile 2 for a while, but the action RPG is almost upon us, with its early access launch now less than two weeks away. Ahead of its launch, Grinding Gear Games is continuing to offer more glimpses of the game, with a couple of new teasers showing more glimpses of gameplay.

Specifically, one teaser showcases a couple of different sceptres that players will be able to use, including one that continuously applies Critical Weakness on any and all enemies around you, and another that is more focused on support and grants your allies energy shields based on your mana.

Another clip, meanwhile, showcases different kinds of devastating magical attacks and abilities that players will be able to unleash, like a slow-moving p…

Mascherano hails Guardiola influence

Javier Mascherano says he owes a debt of gratitude to Pep Guardiola, and wants the coach to remain at Barcelona.

Argentina international Mascherano earned a reputation as one of the most effective defensive midfielders in Europe during his time at Liverpool, but he has regularly been utilised as a centre-back since moving to Barca in August 2010.

Mascherano feels he can develop further as a player under Guardiola s guidance, and is hoping the 41-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, will commit his future to the club.

Guardiola is very important to me, Mascherano said.

He is the coach who trusted me to come to Barcelona and also provided me with the necessary conditions to be able to change my position.

Without the help o…

Leandro Trossard confident that Arsenal can overcome Bayern Munich

Leandro Trossard believes a “top level” performance is required to topple Bayern Munich after salvaging Arsenal a 2-2 draw from a captivating Champions League quarter-final first leg.

Gunners substitute Trossard levelled with 14 minutes remaining on Tuesday evening to leave the tie perfectly poised ahead of next week’s return match at Allianz Arena.

Former Arsenal forward Serge Gnabry and ex-Tottenham striker Harry Kane had turned the contest in Bayern’s favour following Bukayo Saka’s early opener.

This is our house! More work to be done!

“They have showed how they can hurt us so we need to work on that for next week,” Trossard told his club’s website.

“If we are at our top level, we ca…
