(GSM) Fernando Torres is confident Spain can go all the way winning the World Cup this summer.
The Liverpool striker believes La Furia Roja have a great chance of winning another big tournament, two years after their Euro 2008 glory.
Torres came off the bench for the final half hour of the warm up match against Poland (6-0 win) and got on the score sheet bagging Spain s fifth before also having a hand in the sixth as Barcelona star Pedro chipped in.
While the Liverpool star was wary of excessive optimism following the friendly win he believes that Spain have a genuine chance of glory.
Maybe tomorrow there will be excessive optimism and euphoria but we should know that can be costly. We have to keep a cool head and have the games against Saudi Arabia and [South] Korea as examples, but we know that if we play like that it is hard to lose. We have a great chance of winning this World Cup, he said afterwards as quoted by AS before stating that he is hungrier than ever on his return from a knee injury.
I had two months without playing, I really wanted to play but (the knee) was not as good as I thought and I had to wait a bit. It was nice to come back and score because when you go so long without playing you have more desire than ever. It s over now and we can say that I m back with my team-mates.
